so... its been a while again. imagine that.

Last weekend I went to Morgantown & Kennywood w/Nicole, Kristen, Jackie, Cassidy, and Brew. It was fun for the most part (a few nerve wracking/stressful moments along the way...) but all in all it was fun. I will have pictures up eventually. Not on here probably, but definitely on my myspace and facebook, as soon as Cassidy emails me the ones that she has.

so the semester is in full swing, so far, so good. I've managed to stay on top of things for the most part. And really have been much better than usual at procrastinating. I've decided to try and get my 5-9 Math Specialization. Weird, I know, coming from the person who struggled in Math and HATED Math for most of my life. But I can have it in 17 hours + student teaching. Not only will I be able to teach middle school Math, but I'll be able to teach Title I Math in elementary schools (basically helping kids in Math who are having trouble). So we'll see how that goes. My plan is for spring I have 9 hours left I need for my Elem. Ed. so I'll take those, plus Statistics, and one more math class I need. (Putting me at 15 hours). Then I'll go ahead and student teach in the Fall of 08. Graduate in December 2008 w/my K-6 Elementary Ed. degree. Then the following Spring take the remainder of my Math classes that I need (or as much as I can) while substitute-teaching part time. And its not like if I get into it and don't like it I can't change my mind. Part of the reason I'm taking statistics in the spring is because I know it will also go towards my masters in case I decide to head in that direction instead. But we shall see.

hey look an update without waiting months.

what is new in the life of me... lets see... not a whole lot I don't suppose. I've been keeping busy without being overwhelmed so thats always a good thing. So I am really missing my fiance and my friends that are at school, but other than that things are great. I thankfully still have a couple of my best friends here.

Speaking of which.... I'm pretty pumped about next weekend. I'm going up to Morgantown next Friday to see Nicole! We're spending the night there then going to KENNYWOOD on Saturday (the 15th)!!!! Nicole, Kristen, Brew, Jackie (Nicole's mom), Cassidy (her sis) and myself are going. A whole day with rollercoasters and best friends. Sounds super.

This weekend will be good too! Seth is coming home so I get to see him for the first time in like 3 weeks. Unfortunately I have to freaking work on Saturday. I can't wait to see what our schedules are going to be next week. All I know is I told Brittany I did NOT want to work every Saturday, and she asked if I could work up to 20 hours a week and if I could work Thursdays at the Market St. Y. (which I can). So yea, I'm looking forward to getting some more hours so my paychecks aren't so pathetic.

Oh I finished reading the 7th Harry Potter book. It was really good. I was satisfied with the ending, but it makes me sad its the last one. Oh well I still have the movies to look forward to (yes I'm a nerd, I know...)

Right now I should be working on homework. And I think I will as soon as I'm done here. I'm just hanging out here till Brew gets out of physics, then we're grabbing a bite to eat and heading over to church for handbells.

ok so I officially suck at updating this thing anymore...

I think there's a few reasons for this... one- really there's not that much exciting going on in my life to start with, and 2-I'm not sure if its because I'm a year older or what but the past year I've just been more "private" about everything, meaning, I'd just as soon talk about things with my friends rather than post it on the internet for the world to see... I don't know.

But anyway, the new semester is underway. I have been dreading it for several reasons. Having to re-take Reading 302 is the main reason, the pressure of having to get all my grades up, and having to pay for everything now... but so far, its been alright. I only have 13 hours this semester and at least so far I don't feel overwhelmed. I've decided I'm going to take this semester to get everything back on track and get back where I need to be. Last semester was just a disaster over all. I was constantly overloaded and stressed and it didn't help that I had several crisis outside of school come up. (Losing my job, looking for another job, almost losing my friend in that Huntington apartment fire, totalling my car...) So I'm trying to make the best of this semester and turn things back around. I was always an honor roll student so its been hard struggling to keep my head above water. And hopefully it will be a crisis-free semester too.

But anyway, my schedule for this fall is:

So far all my classes I think will be ok. I'm most excited about my instructional strategies in Music. I think my professor for that class will be awesome, not to mention I love music. I'm also excited about doing my classroom management practicum (excited and slightly nervous-- we'll be teaching a lot...)

The only one I'm dreading is of course reading, but I am determined to get through it and I really want to get an A, just for spite. lol.

Its been a while. I can't believe July is almost over. Summer is going way too fast. I'm not looking forward to school starting at ALL. I'm so dreading taking that reading class again. I just don't even want to think about it. Not to mention Seth starting school too.

Other than that there's been nothing new...babysitting has been going fine. This coming weekend I'm going to Buckhannon for a clogging workshop. Its really a pathetic workshop as far as that goes, but we have fun anyway. Last weekend I went up to see Nicole in Morgantown, lol we had fun.

I guess thats all for now, too bad I don't have anything more interesting to write. lol. TTFN

B O R E D...

thats exactly what I am. haha. I'm here at work now (the Y) and its a typical saturday, extremely slow. I am also extremely tired.

This weekend has been great so far. Yesterday evening I went out to dinner w/the Schaffers, which was nice. (They are one of the families I babysit for). They are just wonderful After that, I went to the park. Dad's band played and we danced. Our show went pretty well, except for it being extremely hot. Then afterwards Seth, Brew, and I went out for ice cream. It was fun.

Today we had another clogging show, this time at Wayside UMC in Vienna. It went pretty well too, again except for it being hot, and we had a couple glitches with the sound but hey it happens. Seth & I went to lunch and then I came here to work and will be here for another hour. As for tomorrow I'm not sure what I'm doing after church & lunch... possibly over to Seth's to swim and maybe movie night at the church I don't know.

Next week promises to be a little easier. I will only have 2 kids instead of 4, because one family is on vacation. And then the following week I will have no kids until Friday. Not that I won't miss them because I will but its nice to have almost a whole week off.

As for everything else, I seem to be doing ok. I haven't been as moody lately which I'm sure is a good thing. Haha.

*sigh*... 20 minutes till I can close the register... lol I'm ready to LEAVE!

I can't believe its July already. Summer is going way to fast.

Things have been...ok... definitely been some ups and downs but I suppose thats the way it is.

Tomorrow is the 4th so I have the day off babysitting. My plans are to spend the afternoon at Seth's house for a cookout, then going out to Newport VFD. My dad's band is playing there and we're staying for the fireworks (which by the way are like 5 billion times better than the ones at City Park). So it should be a good day. Frankly I'm looking forward to sleeping in. I have been so tired recently. Like just now I almost fell asleep reading and usually this time of the evening I'm really awake. Of course, I haven't been sleeping the best either, but you'll have that.

Things are going great babysitting the kiddos. I mean there are a few things now and then but for the most part they are good kids. Tomorrow I'll only have 2 of them and then the following week I'll have none (until Friday), so the next couple weeks will be even easier I'm sure.

Two days in a row... wow.

Right now I'm sitting here listening to the silence (well and the thunderstorm outside). The boys are watching a movie and the girls are napping. The boys haven't been napping this summer, but I haven't made them, they'll be going into first grade so pretty much unless they ask if they can go to sleep, which never happens, they have "quiet" time while the girls sleep. Which means a movie and being calm... haha at least we hope.

I was hoping they'd be able to swim in the kiddy pool this afternoon but I'm not sure if the weather will allow that. It has been a pretty decent day though. Tonight I'm helping out with clogging lessons since our director, Teresa, won't be there... then we have team practice after lessons.

My sunburn is starting to itch. Its annoying.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow & the weekend. After I get done babysitting tomorrow I'm going to the store to get stuff, then over to the church early to clean up and get ready for the youth lock-in... I don't know how many will show up, but hopefully some. Tonight I'm going to have to think of some things for us to do...

Wow this kind of weather makes me sleepy too, as will reading this make anyone else, so I'm gonna go.

Once again I have not been very good at the whole updating my xanga thing. I think its just been because there's probably like 2 people that ever read it, which is ok though. Because I think I'm going to try and get back in the swing of regularly updating.

Sometimes its just interesting to look back a year or two ago and see what was going on then, and how much I have changed, and my life has changed. I complain about being in a rut and stuff like that, but things really have changed a lot. My attitudes have changed quite a bit, about several different things... even things that seem constant in my life have changed. My relationship with Seth, my friendships. Not all bad changes, in fact probably mostly good changes. Like with Seth, yea sometimes its not always the most exciting in the world, and not to mention all the time we've spent apart with him at school, but then again, things with his family have been on the up and up for a while now, and I mean we practically act like we're married already, we've gotten that closeness that only 5 years together can bring. My friendships have changed too, some have moved away for school or otherwise, there's been a few friends from high school that I've grown apart from. On the other hand, I've also gotten closer with some. After Amanda's fire it really made me want to keep us from growing apart, we've been friends all our lives and after almost losing her, it woke me up. And Brew... even a year ago we weren't nearly as good of friends as we are now. He's gone from being my friends boyfriend, my friends ex, to one of my very best friends. As much as I convince myself it is, change isn't always bad, and thats one change that I am glad that happened!

Whew ok I'm done... wow thats the first semi-insightful thing I've had on here in a long time! Back to my daily life here... Last night I surprised Nicole with a dinner w/a lot of her friends at Logans. She's leaving on Sunday. That will not be fun, I'm going to miss her lots!!! Earlier yesterday I babysat of course, I only had 2 of the kids so I took them up to Seth's grandmas to go swimming. It was a lot of fun, they had a blast. Of course stupid me forgot to put sunscreen on myself so I got burnt BAD. Other than that though it was great.

Today has been semi uneventful, that is with the exception of Jay losing a tooth! haha. The girls slept for a little bit, at least Ella did, Emma it was more like 10 minutes. For some reason they seem to nap better at the other house. Oh well. Right now they are upstairs cleaning up the tornado that blew through there this morning. I'm letting them get a head start to work on things before I end up going up there and finishing it. We may go outside later on if the rain holds off...

As for tonight I'm doing a whole lot of nothing. Seth has a big test to study for, and my family isn't doing anything so I'll probably just spend the evening being lazy because I can. And I haven't had one of those all week.

Ok well I'm going to head upstairs with the kiddos. TTFN!
